There are fewer than 20,000 lions left in the African continent, while the rare Barbary lion is now extinct within its natural habitat there are approximately 250 living in captivity.

Zion Wildlife Gardens is located on Gray Road, West of Kamo - approx 20 minutes drive from downtown Whangarei in Northland, New Zealand.

The wildlife garden is open for guided tours 364 days per year (closed Christmas day only) with our booking office operating between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday only.
