A big thank you to all the guys at making my visit a special one - my best day was the final behind the scenes and a special Cheetah chat later that day were Kenya licked my leg. I will never forget the experience meeting the Big Cats at Zion.

Did you know that lions normally walk at about 4km/hr and can run for a short distance at 50-60km/hr.
The average period of inactivity is about 20-21 hours per day!

Zion Wildlife Gardens is located on Gray Road, West of Kamo - approx 20 minutes drive from downtown Whangarei in Northland, New Zealand.

The wildlife garden is open for guided tours 364 days per year (closed Christmas day only) with our booking office operating between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday only.
