The Bengal tiger is found in India and around the Nepal/China border. It is the second largest of its species weighing-in at around 480 pounds and averages 9ft 5" long.

Also an endangered big cat. The Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) is the most populous tiger subspecies, with between 2,000 and 3,000 remaining in the wild and more than 500 in captivity. Most wild Bengal tigers live in the mangrove forests of the Sundarbans in eastern India and Bangladesh, while some also live in the neighbouring countries Bhutan, Myanmar and Nepal. The male Bengals typically weigh around 230 kg; the females about 180kg.

Shikana is one of the parks sweeties. She has a lovely nature and is loved by all the staff at Zion. She is also a fantastic mother to her cubs and is very maternal.

Indira is a 5 year old Bengal tiger she and her sister Kahli were born at Zion and hand reared.
Kahli Age: 5 About:
Kahli loves water, and enjoys playing chase games with Indira jumping in and out of their water trough in their enclosure. On a hot day, you will often find her sprawled out in the water.
Sita Age: 5 About:
Sita was the only cub out of a litter to Shikana she was born at Zion.
