Meet Zion Wildlife Gardens Royal White Tigers

 

White tigers are actually white-coloured Bengal tigers; although in size they can grow to be considerably bigger, they are not a separate sub-species. White tigers are born to Bengal tigers that carry an unusual gene needed for white colouring.

Anila Anila
Age: 3
About: 

Anila is one of three white tigers born at Zion Wildlife Gardens.  She has two other sisters Kala and Azra.  The three girls live together at the park and are great friends.
Azra Azra
Age: 3
About: 

Azra and her two sisters were born on 4 December 2006.  The three white girls were hand raised and bottle fed by Megan, all three are real characters.
Kala Kala
Age: 3
About: 

Kala is a very chatty girl. She is always interesting in what is going on around her, and loves to say "Hello" to all the visitors at the park.

 
Shanti Shanti
Age: 4
About: 

Shanti is one of our most popular white tigers.  She was born at Zion along with her two brothers Rongo and Kiwi, who were later sent to South Africa.  Shanti was so lonely when they left, that she was introduced to a litter of lion cubs born around the same period and they soon became firm friends.  Shanti to this day still lives with her lion mates something you would never see in the wild!


   

Jahdu Jahdu

About: 

Jahdu is one of our two male white tigers at Zion.  He currently lives with Rewa and they both spend a lot of time in their big concrete swimming bath especially on hot summer days.
Rewa Rewa
Age: 8
About: 

Rewa arrived from America with Jahdu, Abu, Tygo and Shikana.  She has had one litter of cubs at Zion the 3 gorgeous girls Kala, Azra and Anila.


   

Tygo Tygo
Age: 8
About: 

Tygo is our biggest white tiger at the park.  When he is standing on his hind legs he is over 6ft tall!  He also enjoys exercising he is often the first cat awake in the morning and gets into a fitness workout as soon as he wakes up which usually involves bashing his ball around his enclosure.
