A big thank you to all the guys at making my visit a special one - my best day was the final behind the scenes and a special Cheetah chat later that day were Kenya licked my leg. I will never forget the experience meeting the Big Cats at Zion.

Lions are the laziest of the big cats. They usually spend 16 to 20 hours a day sleeping and resting, devoting the rest of the hours to hunting, courting or protecting their territory.

Servals Cats

Servals rely on their sense of hearing as much as – if not more than – their eyesight. They will lie very still and LISTEN for their prey (usually a tasty lizard, a plump little bird, or a scavenging rodent) before using their massive ears to triangulate the direction and location of their dinner. They will then LEAP onto the unlucky creature – and with a 50% accuracy rate, it’s very likely they’ll have a full belly before long!
