A big thank you to all the guys at making my visit a special one - my best day was the final behind the scenes and a special Cheetah chat later that day were Kenya licked my leg. I will never forget the experience meeting the Big Cats at Zion.

Lions are the laziest of the big cats. They usually spend 16 to 20 hours a day sleeping and resting, devoting the rest of the hours to hunting, courting or protecting their territory.

Leopard

Black Leopards are mainly found in the dense, wet forested areas of India and south east Asia, where their colouration gives them a distinct advantage when out hunting. In Africa they are much less common, as their dark colouration is really no help at all to them when out hunting on the light-coloured savannah! These leopards are particularly common out on the Malayan peninsula – so if you’re really keen to find one in the wild, that’s really where you should start looking!
