To all the team at Zion thank you so much for such a truely amazing experience. See these beautiful animals in the flesh was a dream come true. The care and love you have for them is evident I can't wait to visit you all again.

Currently there are no paid positions available; however, volunteer positions are available here at Zion Wildlife Gardens.

The main area where we need help is tour guiding. This involves taking groups of visitors around the park telling them general information about all the different breeds of big cats we have here.  So, there is a lot of walking and talking!

You must be able to speak fluent English, be outgoing, well presented and have a love of people and animals alike.

The other area where we need help is ground maintenance and cleaning of buildings and you will be called upon in this area.

If time permits it we may ask you to assist in the retail shop or assist our builders. We may also ask you to assist with cleaning of enclosures and/or preparation of meat and feeding out.

Volunteers need to go where the help is needed most and where we think you are most suited.

And don’t forget you would be doing all these jobs to help save rare and endangered species of big cats.  It is also a great steppingstone into the industry.

Unfortunately, we do not have any accommodation on site. However, there are a number of backpackers and motels only 15 minutes drive from here.

Volunteers are required for a minimum of one month and need to be aged 18 years and over.

Volunteers are required to work 40 hours per week from 8.30am - 5.00pm and includes weekends and/or statutory holidays. There will be two non working days allocated each week.

Smoking or alcohol consumption is not allowed at Zion Wildlife Gardens and any use of drugs is prohibited on or off site.

It must be noted that there is no “hands on” with adult big cats here at Zion anymore and that there is no “hands on” for volunteers with big cats in general.

If you are interested in volunteering please email or post us a copy of your full CV incl. referees and a current colour photo along with the attached questionnaire.  Please also advise when you are looking at volunteering and for how long.

When we have received all the requested information we will review it and get back to you.

We hope this information helps and look forward to hearing from you!
